 Weather Report Black Market, Heavy Weather pastorius at his best. real compositions, no noodling

 Gong Camembert Electrique, Angel’s Egg  i saw this band in 1973, but only joined 27 years later

 Tonto’s Expanding Head Band Zero Time  synth programmers for stevie wonder doing their own thing

 Group 1850 Agemo’s Trip to Mother Earth dutch psychedelia - epitemizes the genre

 Stevie Wonder Songs in the Key of Life absolute classic - perfect marriage of soul and synths

 John Mayall Blues from Laurel Canyon evocative, heartfelt white blues

 The Pretenders Learning to Crawl chrissie hynde and band - my fave girl rocker, because she’s real

 Walter Carlos Switched On Bach first time i consciously heard a synth. still unbeaten for craftsmanship

 The Nice Ars Longa Vita Brevis  i really wanted a hammond c3 when i was a kid...

 Cinematic Orchestra Every Day background music at its most interesting?

 World Party Goodbye Jumbo  a breath of fresh air when it came out. accomplished retro pop

 Hadouk Trio Shamanimal didier malherbe’s thing after leaving gong

 Shakti Natural Elements john mclaughlin and his “indian” band

 Cream Disraeli Gears i always thought this was magic. nostalgia aint what it used to be...

 Vangelis Beaubourg mostly blips and squeaks - not everyone’s cup of tea - at least it’s not sugary!
